Role Overview:
As a Sales Engineer, you will be the technical expert and the key point of contact between the company and potential clients. You’ll combine your technical knowledge of solar energy systems with your sales expertise to design tailored solutions that meet client needs, educate prospects about the benefits of solar technology, and help close deals. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of engineering, sales, and renewable energy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consult with Clients: Engage with prospective and existing clients to understand their energy needs and business requirements. Provide technical advice and recommend the best solar solutions.
- Design Solutions: Work with the engineering team to design custom solar energy systems that meet customer specifications and provide accurate, detailed proposals and pricing.
- Product Demonstrations: Conduct product demonstrations and presentations, explaining the technical benefits of solar solutions and answering client questions.
- Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to prepare quotes, proposals, and presentations tailored to specific customer needs. Provide technical support throughout the sales cycle.
- Project Management: Assist clients with system installation and integration processes, coordinating with engineering, procurement, and installation teams.
- Stay Informed: Keep up to date with the latest advancements in solar technology, industry trends, and market conditions.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high satisfaction and repeat business.
What We’re Looking For:
- Technical Expertise: A strong understanding of solar energy systems, electrical engineering, or a related technical field (preferred but not required).
- Sales Acumen: Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical information in an accessible and compelling way to clients.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify client needs and develop customized solutions that address those needs.
- Customer-Focused: A passion for providing excellent customer service and building long-term client relationships.
- Team Player: Collaborative attitude, able to work closely with internal teams (engineering, marketing, etc.) to support the sales process.
- Experience: Previous experience in sales, technical sales, or renewable energy solutions is a plus but not required.
- Education: A degree or Diploma in engineering, renewable energy, or a related field is preferred, but candidates with a strong technical background and relevant experience will also be considered.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel for client meetings, site surveys, and other work-related activities.
